World No.2 and winner of three grand slam titles, Maria Sharapova atteneded a series of fashion shows hosted by fashion world biggies - Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang, Roderte and Oscar De La Renta.
Sharapova, who recently reached her sixth career Grand Slam singles final in Melbourne at the Australian Open, sat next to Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour in her fabulous Marc Jacobs dress, well complimented by a Tag Heuer watch and Cole Haan accessories.
Sharapova was all praises for the trends exhibited in the shows she attended - "It's exciting to be a part of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, from identifying upcoming trends to seeing the collections in person. What I'm seeing down the runway provides inspiration for when I'm designing my own collections, be it for on the court or off the court."
The second edition of this year's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week showcases the fall/winter collections of various designers at the event held at the famous Lincoln Center in New York City.
Sharapova signed a record $70 million deal with Nike a couple of years ago that made her the richest sportswoman in the world. She is arguably the most bankable sports star at the moment, endorsing a series of brands from Tiffany's to Tag Heuer and Nike to Canon.
