The 16-time Grand Slam holder Roger Federer and former World No. 1 Maria Sharapova of Russian have been listed in the top ten athletes in the Forbes Magazine’s list.
The 30-year-old Federer has raised his personal brand worth to $ 26 million announced by Forbes in a list. Federer, who signed for most imposing endorsement portfolio with ten major deals including Nike’s, Gillette’s original 3, Mercedes-Benz and Net Jets. The Swiss star also signed his endorsement by Mercedes-Benz China, which was overlapped into a Global Mercedes-Benz partnership contract.
The former World No. 1 ranked Federer has beenlisted No. 25th by the Forbes Magazine, but he was given No. 2 spot in the sub category ‘Press Rank’ ahead of the American golf star Tiger Woods with No. 1 position. The Russian beauty Sharapova is the only female athlete, who was included in the Forbes Magazine’s Fab 40-Most Valuable Sports Brands List. The report says Sharapova has given No. 8th spot with an esteemed brand value of $9,000,000 per annum.
The 24-year-old Sharapova will receive expensive deals with Nike and Cole Haan, where she has resigned with Nike for eight years worth $70 million. The Russian star has become the first female athlete and only WTA player to earn heavy endorsement.
